2015 saw us introduce the next level in Summer luxury with the introduction of The Ultrafino Panama, woven to a grade 40 (strands per inch) they were finest Panama ever offered for sale in England. We secured just 4 examples and they were an immediate success with our customers.
As a result of this we re-doubled our efforts to procure more of the same for this year. We are pleased to report our sources went above and beyond, thoroughly proving their worth and we are now able to offer 5 examples of the Ultrafino in an even higher grading (42), and a single representation in a grade 45.
Given the time taken to create these masterpieces (6-7 months for a grade 40, 7-8 months for the 42 and an astonishing 9 months for the magnificent grade 45) it is little wonder that the master-weavers able to produce these is easily less than 20 individuals – and maybe 6 for the grade 45.
